But that’s exactly what Wild Eye Releasing is going for, with their ‘The Conjuring meets Downton Abbey’ haunted-house flick, The Baylock Residence. Set in war-torn England, 1944, we follow Patricia Woodhouse (Kelly Goudie) as she is summoned to her sister Susanna Baylock’s (Karen Henson) house after her sudden passing and the mysterious disappearance of her brother-in-law, Victor Baylock (Kieron Brook).

The Baylock Residence is a 2019 thriller film about a woman who inherits her family’s estate and soon discovers that it may be haunted. In war torn Europe 1944, on the bombed out streets of England, Patricia Woodhouse (Kelly Goudie) gets a letter notifying her of her sister Susanna Baylock’s (Karen Henson) passing.

Winston’s new horror film, sometimes creepy and sometimes campy, is a remake of his earlier effort, The Haunting of the Baylock Residence, only this time the setting has been changed to protect the innocent. Ditching the 1970s in favor of a ravaged England circa 1944, complete with sudden bombings and fires, makes for an interesting facelift as one woman inherits a very haunted home in the middle of a war.

The Haunting Of is an American documentary television series that premiered on October 27, 2012. The series aired its first two seasons on The Biography Channel prior to moving to Lifetime Movie Network beginning with its third. Hosted by Kim Russo, The Haunting Of... tells the stories of various celebrities who have agreed to tell their first-hand details of when the paranormal changed their lives forever. It is a spinoff of Celebrity Ghost Stories.
